- 8 Months since diagnosis
- 8 Months since Tracheotomy Surgery
- 7 months since i started Chemotherapy
- 5 Months since i finished Chemotherapy
- 3 months since the Operation
- 2 months since T- Tube removal
- and finally 3 and a half weeks into radiation
Its hard to believe that its been 8 months since the diagnosis, time has certainly flown by. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks straight after the diagnosis, and thinking back on those two weeks i realize that they were two incredible weeks. Two weeks that showed me how extremely special my family is, two weeks that showed me what amazing friends i have, and two weeks that changed my perspective on everything. The things that seemed to matter the most before February 4th aren’t even close to my biggest concerns anymore.
The 4 months i spent at Sick Children’s Hospital was an eye opener. Without first hand experience at the oncology ward at Sick Kids you will never be able to understand how incredibly strong and beautiful these kids are.
Although at the time it may have seemed like the days could not get any longer and the pain was never ending, i now know i only have 2 and a half weeks left and this will all be in my past.
and the feeling of being back on the ice in is indescribable. Feels just like it should at this time of year getting ready for the Central Ontario Championships.
